The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 have received the first batch of coronavirus vaccines at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja.
According to Arise TV, about 3.9 million doses of the vaccines were handed to Boss Mustapha, the chairman of PTF.
Osagie Ehanire, Minister for Health; Lai Mohammed, Minister for Information and Culture were also present at the airport.

“I take this opportunity on behalf of the President to receive the 3,924,000 doses of vaccines from India.
“I want to express gratitude to the coordination of the World Health Organisation who facilitated the vaccine.
“I hereby handover this vaccine to the Hon. Minister of Health,” said Boss Mustapha.
Responding, the Minister for Health also said: “It is with a sense of relief and elation that we receive this vaccine about 4 million.
“It is our belief that this is the beginning of our journey to eliminate Covid-19. These consignments will first of all be accessed by NAFDAC before it is passed for use.”
