AbaCityBlog reported that Rochas Okorocha was arrested when the anti-graft agency stormed his residence on Tuesday in Abuja, for allegedly refusing to stand his trial.
He was alleged to have laundered funds to the tune of N2.9 billion while serving as Governor of Imo.

The ex-governor, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a ruling on Tuesday, rejected the object of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to Okorocha’s bail application.
Justice Ekwo granted Okorocha bail at N500million. The Judge ordered Okorocha to provide a surety, who will sign and of the same amount.
The judge also granted bail to Okorocha’s co-defendant, Anyim Nyerere Chinenye on the conditions attached to the administrative bail earlier granted him by the EFCC.
