The federal government through the Attorney General Abubakar Malami, have ordered the immediate release of former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki and convener of online #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.
It could be recalled that Sambo Dasuki was arrested on 1 December 2015 by the Department of State Security Services for allegedly stealing $2.1 billion money meant for procurement of arms to fight insurgency in the country.
Before his release, Dasuki has faced many court trials where he was granted bail.
On Omoyele Sowore, he was arrested in Lagos on August 3, 2019 by the DSS for calling on Nigerians to take to the streets in peaceful protests known as #RevolutionNow to demand a better country from President Buhari’s administration.
He also, threatened to set himself ablaze during the protest in a bid to send a message to the world.
