The apex Igbo socio cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) has said that its prediction (about a month ago) on the imminent fall of Nnamdi Kanu and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been justified by the recent crack in the IPOB leadership.

OYC said its gave the prediction when it was discovered that Northeast and South West Politicians had hijacked the organization for sinister violent protests and attacks against Igbo Governors, Igbo leaders and Representatives of religious organizations, which is “Un-igbo”, and wrongly portrayed Igbo as violent people against the traditionally established norms and values of Igbo as peaceful and loving people.

Recall that leadership crisis is rocking the IPOB family. Abacityblog reported that the deputy leader, Mazi Uche Mefor has resigned and floated his own radio station. Likewise, Ms. Amaka Ekwo, the secretary to the office of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has also, resigned her position.

Reacting over the development, OYC in a statement signed by its President General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, described the crisis in IPOB as the resistance of top officials to revert back to the status quo of nonviolence agitation of biafra, which Nnamdi Kanu’s authoritarian stance on introduction of draconian reign of impunity, fame and fortune seeking, merchant of half truths and false statements aimed towards deceptive actions capable of plugging Nigeria into another Civil war.

The group said, what IPOB under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu is experiencing now is only the genesis, adding that more members will exit as the group has allegedly been hijacked.

“The mass exodus of Ipob top officials is an affirmative evidence that ipob is at brink of collapse and needs total change of strategic leadership approach to revert back to original status quo, the issues of Zionist state of biafra are the root cause for the recent leadership crisis, the forceful imposition of alien Jewish religion and cultural norms(On members)in predominantly Christian society and Muslim communities without peaceful coexistence brought exit of Top officials of Ipob, like Uche Mefor, a catholic, Grace Ekwo, and others, including the withdrawal of support of Niger Delta Ex Militant, Mujahed Asari Dokubo,a Muslim.

“Nnamdi Kanu’s recent solo tweet and press releases without the Media arm of ipob, is another evidence that the Ipob leadership had fallen into chaos, Kanu’s reign of impunity and abusive rantings are over, he should abandon his Yoruba friends and Northeast Politicians, taking advantage of his struggle to create political tension and Civil disobedience in the Southern states especially in South East, Kanu must apologize to igbo leaders, show remorse to his supporters for his deceitful actions and mourn those that Untimely lost their lives in the struggle.
