Ex-militant leader, Asari Dokubo has asked the Nigeria’s Federal Government to commission him and his boys to go to Niger Republic and restore democratic order.
AbaCityBlog reports that since the coup d’etat that took place in Niger Republic, the ECOWAS headed by Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has placed sanctions on Niger in a bid to restore democratic order.
The ECOWAS chairman had issued an ultimatum which expired yesterday, thereby considering using the military to restore democratic order, however, the use of the military has been condemned by lots of concerned Nigerians including the legislatures.
Reacting in a video, Asari Dokubo who has been recorded heading a group of armed militia, asked the federal government to commission him and his boys to do the job of the military. He stressed that his boys are capable and will come out victorious.
“Let the federal government commission me and my boys, we will go to Niger Republic and restore democratic order and come back victorious…, Asari Dokubo said in a 45 second video.
