Abia State chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC, has debunked the report of arrest of its party leader, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
The report, published by an online medium (not Abacityblog) claimed that the Senate Chief Whip, Kalu was allegedly arrested in connection to an to an alleged kidnap of a PDP Local Government agent in Aba North by thugs he imported.
Reacting over the report, Abia APC, in a statement signed by it’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Benedict Godson, urged people to disregard the news.
The statement reads;
“A baseless, hopeless, useless and very idiotic report from a quack medium called “Igbowatch” has come to our knowledge.
“In its baseless report, the “Igbowatch” controlled and financed by the PDP alleged that one of our leader and the Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu has been arrested in Aba.
“They laughably claimed that our leader was arrested in connection to an to an alleged kidnap of a PDP Local Government agent in Aba North by thugs he imported.
“Our reaction is simple; the story is useless, baseless and idiotic just like the financiers of the writer and just like the medium it self. In fact it’s the most silly joke of the year.
“Again, the useless medium went ahead to bring in the name of one of the most reputable hotels in Aba and generally in Abia State into their senseless report.
“It’s left for the hotel to take the matter up against them, but for us in APC, we know that if there is any party who cannot do without thugs in every election, it is the PDP because they do not have what it takes to win fairly.
“We therefore call on all well meaning Abians and Nigerians to ignore such reports as it purely defines the quackery in the Journalism being practiced in that useless medium called “Igbowatch.”
