Just within a month of increment, the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), has announced an increment in the pump price of petrol.
The fuel pump price which was formally N150 per litre is now N160.
This was contained in a statement signed by D.O Abalaka of the PPMC.
According to the statement, the new price adjustment has been effected.
The statement reads:
“Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform.
“To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.
“This takes effect from September 2, 2020.”
PPMC, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, said the pump price of petrol has increased to N151.56 per liter, however, most fuel stations have effected the hike at 160 per litre.
