Following his emergence in his party’s primary, Senator Dino Melaye, has again launched a scathing attack on Governor Nyesom Wike.
Recall that Dino won the party’s primary. Dino polled 313 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jabiru Usman who polled 127 votes.
The chairman, PDP primary Election Committee, Ahmed Makarfi announced the results on Sunday at end of the indirect primary held in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
A former Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi scored 77 votes and the PDP governorship candidate in 2019, Musa Wada had a total of 56 votes.
During a live interview session, Senator Dino Melaye said his emergence has silenced the Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike.
He said his emergence as the PDP standard bearer has proved to Governor Wike that he is capable enough to pilot the affairs of Kogi state as governor contrary to his views.
The PDP standard bearer, Senator Dino Melaye also asked Nigerians not to take his social life to mean incompetence.
