The Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) has finally clears the air on why its coordinator, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka spoke on the Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show.
AMEN in its clarification said Rev Mbaka used what transpired between the two BBNaija Housemates, Erica and Laycon as an example while preaching on tolerance and forgiveness.
It should be recalled that Erica has descended on Laycon on Saturday, after the Housemates weekend party, for accusing her of trying to kiss him. The conversation which later degenerated into hurling of insults and using of derogatory words on her fellow housemates caused Erica to be disqualified from the show.
Preaching to the congregation on Sunday, Rev Mbaka said Erica might lose the prize because of being intolerance and not having the spirit of forgiveness. The cleric said, despite the fact that her fellow housemates are begging her to forgive and let it go, she insisted and trying to fight her colleague.
According to the Catholic Priest, “Erica might lose the N85m because of her “cantankerousity and pugnacity”
The video of Mbaka’s preaching which gone viral on social media on Sunday has drew lots of critics on his person. Some wondered why would a Priest of God watch something that has been termed as immoral TV Show.
However, addressing why the Cleric used a scene on the TV Show, AMEN said Mbaka could have seen a clip of the BBNaija show or he could have got it from discussions hence he used what transpired between the Housemates to buttress his preaching on Love, Tolerance and Forgiveness.

Below is press release by the ministry.
“Rev. Fr. Mbaka spent time preaching on tolerance, forgiveness, love, dialogue, patience, with agreement prayer using Zachariah chapter 1 to chapter 14, especially between husbands and wives as the central theme of the Sunday’s liturgy was fraternal correction with love.
“He referred what transpired between two housemates in the BBNaija as an example. He could have seen a clip of the BBNaija show as any of us who is not yet in heaven could inadvertently have seen, or he could have got it from discussions. But the fact remains that Erica was not tolerant.
“Unfortunately, mischief-makers copied only the reference to BBNaija, which was only used as an example and overlooked the whole message. Contextlessness implies meaninglessness. When something is taken out of its context, it loses its meaning.
“Even a verse from the Bible taken out of its context loses its meaning and can have disastrous consequences!!!.
