The residents of Abia have tabled their demands and expectations as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, winner of the just concluded 2019 governorship election in Abia.
Making their demands through a post on our social media page, the people told the governor to pay close attention to road infrastructure. They cited that working more on roads will ease the stress of doing business in Aba, a place known as commercial city.
“Please his Excellency road has been our problem in abia state please concentrate more on road God will. Bless you more if you do that congratulations once again” – Nzeagwu Ifeanyi told the governor.
Anyamele Nnamdi Justice asked the governor to remember;Â Port Harcourt Road
Uratta Road
Ngwa Road
Oborhia Road and other major roads.
Obietrice Bison Obioma-Anosike wrote;Â Leave a Legacy sir and kara’m nka. So that posterity will remember you.
You can do it Deede. Congratulation Nwa afo 👐 🎊
Lilian Oti wrote; “We are looking forward to see a branded new, Abia state, void of dirty everywhere , delay in paying worker’s salary, pensions, unemployment, crimes , bad roads, and poverty. This time , let him be more mindful of his subjects than himself, thanks.
Kalu Shanco asked governor to; “at least beautify Azikiwe road make it look presentable ,the roads he has already build looks too local.
Another social media commentator, Japheth Levi Chinenye, advised the governor to travel out of the state to the neighbouring Ebonyi State.
“Let Ovi travel to Ebony state and ask Dave Umahi how he manage to build the state, in fact let him stay there for a week and look a round his projects I believe he will get some sense, his project here is slow and not solid. Before 2023 let him build something we will use to remember him, like air port or something that will always drive tourists, building of roads is not a legacy ooooh.
Nnamdi Nwaubani wrote; “His last tenure wasn’t good enough. I hope he remedies it with this term. If not for anything, he should give aba a face lift
Samuel Onuigbo wrote; “The bridge (Eme river bridge) for the road that leads to my community in Amorji Imenyi autonomous community Bende Local government area of Abia State has collapsed almost three years now and this has cost the community a lot of hardship. Please help the community from this hardship.
Anyanwu Honesty U wrote; “That VICTOR is Victorious shouldn’t be a surprise., that’s ok for OKEZIE,,,But @ last (Ikpeazu)we are now expecting him to effect “our turn”.Coming from the Ceramic industry at Umuahia through Amakama to Umuodeche exit , all roads to the left were solidly tarred into Ahiaukwu olokoro axis by T A Orji as governor of Abia state who on giving reason for his concentration on the roads to the left side was quoted as saying “it was their turn” I e the Umuahia side of the Abia Central senatorial district. Now Victor, is it not our turn now? We are expecting that those roads on the right side into Umuodeche, Ikputu both linking UMUEZEUKWU leading to Nbawsi, as well as that from Umuosu to Nbawsi must now receive immediate attention. It is now our turn, it does not come every year. Anything short of making our peoplefeel it is our turn will mean failure on your part. PLEASE OKEZIE BE VICTORIOUS..
Also, Uche Adolphous advise the governor to sit up and do what was expected of him;
“He should sit up and work for the people and do away with the godfather’s,they’re killing his reputation. This is the only opportunity for him to write his name in the hearts of the people like Peter Obi.
“Also he”ll look into thuggery and extortion in Abia State. It is killing his reputation seriously.”
