A 24-year-old final year student of Micheal Okpara University Of Agriculture MOUAU, Oluomachi Lynda Nwojo on Tuesday gave birth to Quintuplets, a set of five babies at Federal Medical Center Umuahia Abia State.
A native of Amamba Abriba in ohafia LGA Abia State, she gave birth to 3 girls and 2 boys. Both mother and babies are in good health condition.
The female babies came first, and she is the first to give birth to quintuplets in the facility in a long time, a nurse on duty told ABN TV.
Oluomachi’s mother, Mrs Priscilla Nwojo while expressing gratitude to God for the safe delivery said the babies and their mother are in sound health condition.
He therefore appealed for assistance of well-meaning Nigerians to support in nursing the babies. She called on wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Okezie Ikpeazu to come to the aid of the family.
Meanwhile, the Abia Central representative of the YPP governorship candidate, NANA/OFUJI CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION, Atuloma Onyekachi Jackie has revealed that they have offset the hospital bill of the new mother.
In a Facebook post, Jackie said the YPP team was able to offset the bill following a social media post by Olumachi’s husband when he announced that his wife had delivered set of quintuplets.

“In the early hours of today a young man named Prince Krux from Ikwuano L. G. A whose wife delivered a bouncing baby girl at FMC Umuahia wrote on his facebook handle on the news of first QUINTUPLET in FMC Umuahia by Miss Oluomachi from Abiriba in Ohafia L. G. A whose mother Mrs Priscilla Ogudu was available to speak with the YPP Team on behalf of the daughter who is currently in an unstable state trying to regain strength at the moment.
“It was confirmed that the quintuplets are three females and two males, the females are strong while the two male are currently in incubator.
“NANA/OFUJI CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION cleared the bills…” she concluded.
