The Abia State government has announced the completion of one of the foremost entrance road to Enyimba City, known as Aba Owerri Road, Aba.
Ikpeazu’s aide, Chinonye Mba claimed the road has been completed from Osisioma junction to Asa road, stressing that the governor will complete all projects started by his administration.
“Many of us had waited for when this all important road in ENYIMBA CITY will be completed. I am very delighted to inform us that it has finally been completed to the admiration of good spirited Abians and to the displeasure of Naysayers”, Mr Mba said in a Facebook post while sharing pictures of the road.
Mba added that “Gov Ikpeazu assured of completing all the projects he started before leaving office and he is determined to keep to his promise.”
According to him, “to residents of Aba the ENYIMBA CITY, driving through this (Aba Owerri Road) road now a thing of joy.”
However, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu flagged off the reconstruction of the road shortly after he was sworn-in as the governor of Abia State in May 2015.
AbaCityBlog recall that it’s been 8 years since the road was flagged off alongside other projects. The contractor handling the project has been on drainage construction. Only recently, they were able to link the drainage system, leaving many portions unattended.
