Following the reports of the alleged arrest of the Abia Speaker, Chinedum Orji and his father, former Abia State governor, Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, by the officials of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Mr. Promise Uzoma Okoro, Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, has debunked the reports, tagging it as “false”.
Although, the report was published by the Facebook page of IgbereTV, which the owner was allegedly abducted last night in Abuja, according to reports, his workers has lamented that the page and the website has been hacked by unknown hackers.
However, debunking the news of Orji’s arrest, Mr. Uzoma urges the public to disregard it as false news.

Disregard the Fake news that the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt.Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and the Senator Representing Abia Central Senatorial District has been arrested by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Owners of Igbere TV whose platform was used to publish that fake Rumour is claiming that their Facebook page and Website was hacked.
The Speaker was never arrested by EFCC, the General Public should discountenance such Fake rumour.

OUR PAGE WAS HACKED – IGBERETV
The website and Facebook page of popular News medium, Igbere TV have been hacked after its Executive Director, Emeh James Anyalekwa was abducted in Abuja on Thursday.
As at the time of writing this report, all the editors of the Newspaper have been removed from the website.
Speaking with ABN TV over the ugly situation, the management and staff of the website said they woke up this morning to a report on both the website and Facebook page with a caption “Igbere TV Boss Dead”
The statement reads,
“The Management And Staff Of Igbere TV are still worried about the whereabouts of our Executive Director, Emeh James Anyalekwa”.
“As at 7:00pm on Thursday, all his phone numbers got switched off and messages sent to his WhatsApp, Facebook not replied”.
“While still worried, dejected and devastated about the whereabouts of our Boss, the staff woke up this morning to see a post on its website and page with a caption ” Igbere TV Boss Dead “.
“It’s imperative to note that the report didn’t emanate from our workers as all the editors can’t access the website and Facebook page again.”
