Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today received The Most Outstanding Speaker of the Year 2021 Award from Champion Newspapers Ltd, publishers of Daily Champion.
In a colourful ceremony which held at the Expo Convention Centre of the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the Speaker who was represented by the Member representing Ikwuano State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Stanley Nwabuisi, was described as a man whose works as a Lawmaker and philanthropist are worthy of recognition and emulation, hence, the award.
While reading his citation, the Speaker’s numerous projects and achievements were reeled out to the people who, obviously impressed, responded with a thunderous applause.
In his response, the Speaker thanked Champion Newspapers Ltd, organisers of the event for the award and promised not to rest on his oars in his quest to continue to use quality legislative interventions and philanthropic gestures to continue to ensure a better life for the people.
Other recipients of awards in different categories include Governor of Borno State, Prof Babagana Zulum, DG/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig.
