The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, yesterday attended the Connak Foundation Concert held at Umuahia Township Stadium.
Connak Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that started operating in 2012 with a mission to enhance dignity of human life by promoting good health and building economic capacities for youths and women in the rural communities of South-East Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, the Speaker commended the Founder of the organisation Mr Ken Nnamdi Ukeagu, describing him as a philanthropist with a strong desire for excellence.
Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji further extolled Mr Ukaegbufor being an advocate of poverty alleviation and grassroots development with keen interest in child education and youth empowerment.
Concluding, the Speaker thanked him and promised that he will give all the necessary support needed so more lives will be impacted positively through the Foundation. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the Foundation and its proprietor.
The Speaker joined Mr Ukeagu to cut his birthday cake.
The concert featured music, comedy and dance as popular Nigerian artistes like Mayorkun, Patoranking, Kcee, Chike, Nigga Raw, Dbanj etc thrilled the crowd with their hit tracks.
Popular comedians, Okey Bakassi and Funny Bone were the hosts.
Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu was represented by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Professor ACB Agbazuere while Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Acho Obioma (CHOMEN) and other dignitaries attended the event while Member representing Umuahia North State Constituency, Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike accompanied the Speaker to the event.
