The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and his wife, Dr Mrs Onyinyechi Orji earlier today were at Amaogodu Abiriba, the countryhome of Hon Abraham Oba, Member representing Aba Central State Constituency to celebrate with him as he gave out his daughter Miss Geraldine in traditional rites.
In his speech, the Speaker said he was delighted to be in the countryhome of Hon Oba describing him as a good man with peaceful disposition and sincerity.
The Speaker said the support of Hon Abraham Oba to him has been overwhelming saying he has always stood on the path of truth and fairness, hence, the sole reason he came to honour him and his family in the company of his wife.
Concluding, the Speaker congratulated Miss Geraldine and prayed God to bless her new home with fruitfulness and prosperity.
Speaking earlier, Hon Abraham Oba thanked the Speaker for coming to celebrate with his family. He said the Speaker really surprised him by gracing the occasion so early and among the first dignitaries to honour his invitation.
He wished the Speaker well in all his endeavours.
Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency, Hon Jerry Uzosike accompanied the Speaker to the event while the Majority Leader of the House, Hon Solomon Akpulonu and Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Chief John Okiyi Kalu also graced the occasion.
