The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today commissioned a 3-bedroom bungalow built for a widow in Umujatta Olokoro, by Hon Jerry Uzosike, Member representing Umuahia South State Constituency.
The commissioning was in addition to some empowerment items procured by the Lawmaker (Uzosike) for some of his constituents.
Speaking at the event, the Speaker appreciated Hon Uzosike for always identifying with his people through quality representation and massive empowerment.
He further said that the Umuahia South State Constituency lawmaker has taken legislative representation to another higher dimension by not only making laws but also attracting and executing laudable projects for the huge benefit of his constituents.
The Speaker who was conferred with a Chieftaincy title as Oke Nwa 1 of Olokoro by the Traditional Rulers Council of the State led by His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Joseph Ndubuisi Nwabeke (KSM), Ezeamara 1 of Eziama Ntigha Ancient kingdom lauded traditional rulers in the state for their contributions to the peace and harmony in the state.
After the commissioing, the Speaker promised to furnish the bungalow apartment for the widow.
Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, Deputy Governor of Abia State, Members of Abia State House of Assembly, Members of State Executive Council, Executive Chairmen of Local Government Areas, political bigwigs in Umuahia South Local Government Area, women and youth groups, businessmen and clergymen also graced the event.
