The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today attended a special Church Service in honour of Venerable Sam Ikedi Onuoha who marked his Silver Jubilee Ordination and Thanksgiving Service.
Speaking at the Service held at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Umuahia Township District, the Speaker thanked God for His mercies on the life of Ven Onuoha and his family who he described as his long time friend and brother.
The Speaker said it was a thing of joy seeing his brother climb the ladder of priesthood in the Anglican family.
“You have always stood out in your calling. Your hardwork and sheer determination is the reason the Almighty God is lifting you to greatness; you are a go-getter and I pray that you continue to grow in service of the Lord so we can come together in the future to celebrate your Golden Jubilee” the Speaker said.
After joining the celebrant to cut his Silver Jubilee cake, the Speaker prayed that God continue to guide and protect the family of Ven Ikedi.
While giving his vote of thanks, the celebrant thanked the Speaker for coming to identify with him on his special day and prayed God to continue to bless him in all his endeavours.
Senator representing Abia Central at the National Assembly, H.E Senator Theodore Orji, ably represented by Hon Longman Nwachukwu, clergymen, traditional rulers, businessmen and other dignitaries graced the occasion.
