Members of Abia Online Media Publishers Organization, yesterday, unveiled their constitution in a move to sanitize the online media practice.
Speaking during the unveiling, the chairman of the Organization Comrade Ugochukwu Nwankwo stated that “No organization thrives without a constitution…we are merely following due process and to place the organization on a strong footing.”
The association also appointed some executive members to filled up the existing gaps, the appointees are; Mr. Juachi Ochu (Vice Chairman); Ogbonnaya Ikeokwu (Financial Secretary); Chinwe Ugele (Treasurer).
The chairman charged the newly appointed executives to discharge their duty without fear of favour, adding that with their appointment, the association is expected to move forward.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Mrs. Chinwe Ugele, the organization Treasurer who doubles as Secretary of the disciplinary committee thanked the association for founding them worthy of the position.
She noted that on behalf of her fellow appointees, they will discharge their duties and work inline with the executives to ensure the growth of the association.
The organization also appointed a Disciplinary Committee to look into Complaints and adjudicate in matters as may be brought before it by the organization.
Members of the disciplinary committee include Sunny Nwankwo(Chairman), Chinwe Ugele (Secretary), Emenike Iroegbu, Clinton Ubah and Casmir Nwakanma.
