Abia born businessman, Chief Steve Ukpabi, the CEO of Treebones group of companies has reportedly procured a multimillion naira Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), to reward Prof Nnenna Oti, the INEC Returning Officer for the just concluded Abia State governorship election.
Chief Ukpabi, popularly known as “Ugwu Na Ami Ami 1 of Ututu ancient kingdom” in a Facebook post, said he decided to reward Prof Oti over the outstanding service she rendered during the gubernatorial election in Abia.
“For your outstanding service to the people of Abia, I hereby request for this Prado to be delivered to Mrs Nnenna Nnennaya Oti immediately it arrives Nigeria next month.”
“Thank you for your service in Abia,” Chief Ukpabi said.

A resident of Abia has eulogized Chief Ukpabi for the reward. He recalled how the philanthropist granted waivers to students living in his building not to pay rent in 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic.
“God bless Amb Steven Ukpabi of Nkpakpi in Ututu ancient kingdom for his magnanimity. I can vividly remember when he granted waivers to students not to pay house rent for the year 2020 because of the covid 19 pandemic, these students lived in his Sungai Pacific 65 self-contained apartment situated at Umudike for one year.”
