The Wife of Abia State Governor, Nkechi Ikpeazu has emerged ‘First Lady Of The Year’ 2022.
In a 14-day Leadership Excellence Awards voting from 1st to 14th August, 2022 via online platforms, monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mrs Ikpeazu defeated three other nominees to emerge the winner.
She polled 695, 432 votes to defeat wife of Rivers State Governor, Eberechi Wike who polled 416, 848, Wife of Oyo State Governor, Tamunominni Makinde, 316, 451 votes and finally wife of Kaduna State Governor, Hadiza El-Rufai who polled 114, 379 votes.
The Prestigious award, endorsed by the African Union, African Film Institute, will be presented in a grand ceremony organised by IgbereTV on 5th November, 2022 at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja.
Through her ‘Vicar Hope Foundation’ Mrs Ikpeazu has executed numerous humanitarian projects, including the construction and donation of over 170 three-Bedroom bungalows to windows and homeless families in the state.
The prestigious Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards, the fourth in a row, is held annually; it recognises and honours the outstanding impacts of leaders across both the public and private sectors in Nigeria.
It promotes outstanding leaders and personalities whose impacts have been felt in Nigeria’s political, social and economic spheres.
The Award also applauds excellence, achievements, performance, humanitarian activities and philanthropic gestures.
