The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and the deputy governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu today met in Nkporo, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The meeting which was held behind closed doors at the residence of the deputy governor lasted for about an hour.
The reason for the meeting was not made known to journalists. It was however believed that their meeting had to do with the 2023 general election.
Kalu, who is the Senator representing Abia North senatorial district is currently embarking on a tour of wards across the five Local Government Areas of the district.
Recall that Kalu had announced the construction of the Etitiama – Elughu Nkporo road to his constituents during a visit to the community this afternoon.
Kalu made the announcement at the Palace of the Ezeaja of Npkoro HRM. Dr. Patrick O.. Ogbuagu where he arrived in continuity of his ward assessment tour of his Senatorial District.
Kalu met the entire jubilant inhabitants of the eight villages who converged at the palace of Ogbuagu to receive the report of the Senate Chief Whip. Orji Kalu told the community on his plan to innate the process towards the construction of the road in the 2023 Budget.
Responding , Ogbuagu lamented the state of the road expressing his appreciation to Kalu on his resolve to facilitate the construction of the road.
