The Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Abia State and former governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has said the party is ready to host President Muhammadu Buhari and deliver the state’s vote for his re-election in the February 16 polls
Mr Buhari is visiting Aba ,Abia state today, Tuesday to continue his presidential re-election campaign
Kalu in a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Peter Eze said APC intends to use the rally to send a message to Nigerians that Buhari would be re-elected in February poll
According to the statement, the party has put everything in place to have a hitch-free rally
“It is going to be a national APC event. We are expecting to host Mr President in person, the national chairman of our party, the national leaders of our party and the national working committee, APC governors, ministers and APC members from all over Nigeria.”
It added that “The good people of Abia State are very excited and enthusiastic and they are waiting to receive the President.
“With the level of enthusiasm are not surprised because Abia state have felt the impact of the good works undertaken by Mr President. The projects he has done in Aba and massive road projects NDDC has completed in the state
“We have had occasion in the past to review the scorecard of Mr President not just for all Nigerians but as it affects Abia State and South East and that is why our members in the state are very excited.”
It continued , “We also have strong feedback that even those who yet to register as members of our great party are also very enthusiastic about receiving the President and to thank him ahead of the election for the massive infrastructural development done for the state, south East and the people of Nigeria.
Kalu said the APC intends to use the rally to send a message to Nigerians that Abia has embraced the broom revolution and that Buhari and other APC candidates would be re-elected come February 16.
