Abia @28: We accept your apologies on infrastructure – Ohanaeze tells Ikpeazu

…Commends Governor Ugwuanyi on 1700 Forest Guards in Enugu.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has Congratulated Abia State Government and Abians on the 28years of her creation, specifically on 27th August 1991.

OYC, also appreciate the founding fathers of the state who enshrined Abia Charter of Equity as the guiding principles towards addressing fear of domination between political blocs in the State.

In a press release signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the President General Of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, the group urge Ikpeazu to raise the tempo in completion of the projects in state, noting that they have accepted his apology.

“Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had once again demonstrated humility, Sincerity and tolerance in governance by publicly admitted that there’s slow pace of development in addressing infrastructural facilities in the state during his speech at Abia@28th Anniversary.

“We assured Him that Ndigbo especially igbos Youths have accepted his apologies, and we Urge the government to accelerate their projects to tackle the problem of roads in Aba environs which was slowed down by raining season, The Realisation of Enyimba Economic City remains the hope of the South East, Nigeria and West Africa, and remain the economic tool to rejig the prosperous New Nigeria through indigenous small and medium ( business) enterprise, the statement reads.

Similarly, OYC commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State over implementation of the resolutions of the meeting of South East Governors to introduce Forest Guards to tackle the issue of insecurity challenges in Enugu State.

OYC says It’s a rightful decisive action worthy of commendation.

“We Observed that Enugu State was under hostage by re-occuring cases of Kidnapping, murder and Suspected Herdsmen neferious activities, we commend the IGP for the redeployment of the former Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Suleiman Balarabe, who was apparently overwhelmed by the incessant crime committed under his watch.

“We charge the New Cp Ahmad Abdulrahman to live up to expectations, With the take off of the 1700 Enugu Forest Guards in Enugu, there’s fear that the criminals are drifting towards neighbouring states sharing boundaries with Enugu, and urge other South East Governors of engage the Igbo youths as Forest Guards.
