The 2023 contest for the Lion House, seat of power of Abia State is gathering momentum and many qualified, prepared and ebullient candidates have been thrown up by the necessity of demand for true change in Abia State, especially from the Abia North Senatorial Zone, whose turn it is to produce the next governor of Abia State in line with principles of Charter of Equity that has kept Abia State politically stable from inception.
One of such seriously prepared and qualified aspirants is Chief Kalu Ijomah Ukeh from the Ohafia Clan in the Ohafia Local Government of Abia North Senatorial District. He is a man with pedigree, charisma, outspoken and results-oriented with a touch of professionalism as a technocrat and a chemical scientist, which has well put him ahead of other contestants.
At a time like this, a season when Abia is yearning for a paradigm shift and rescue from the conundrum of backwardness, dilapidation, underdevelopment, to push it to be in a position to compete among the committee of Nigeria states that are adjourned as developing in terms of infrastructure, human capital development, agriculture, entrepreneurship, etc as a focal point of Abia emancipation.
A man with qualities that Kalu Ijomah Ukeh possesses will be a round peg in a round hole.
Abia State needs youth with good antecedent and proven record of managerial prowess to harness existing opportunities in the state, create new ones and direct the people on the path of positive engagement because true development can come only when the right man is on the helms of affair of the state, a man with the will to engage, negotiate and motivate Abia citizens towards self-reliance and economic stability beyond 2023.
Indeed, Chief Kalu Ijomah is an aspirant Abia State should pay attention to, not because he is coming with a magic wand, but because he has ideas and leadership qualities that will yield results that will change Abia and restore her to her true status as God’s Own State.
