The newly appointed head of Police Intelligence Response Team, Tunji Disu has been offered a gift of $10,000 Usd (N4.1 million) as a token.
Dr. Aloy Chife, a Nigerian/US based entrepreneur said he was excited to read the news of Disu’s elevation as the new head of Police IRT.
Recall that Disu was appointed after DCP Abba Kyari, was suspended following his indictment by a US court over his alleged involvement in a multi-million dollar fraud by the now arrested Nigerian notorious fraudster, Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi.
Following his indictment, the IGP, suspended Kyari from his post as the head of Police IRT and appointed Tunji Disu as his successor.
The appointment of Disu has been greeted with lots of good reviews from many Nigerians who have had an encounter with the new IRT boss. They described his appointment as a good one giving the time Nigeria is experiencing rise in insecurity and distrust between the Citizens and the security agents.
Excited over Disu’s appointment, Dr. Chife pledged to gift the new Police IRT boss a cash token.
Revealing the news on his official twitter handle, Dr. Aloy said the token is an appreciation for his appointment and hope for professional police in the country.
He tweet;

He said Disu’s track record across the states, where he has served as SARS/RRS Commander, speaks for itself.
