A 49-year- old man identified as Anthony Owusi, has been charged to court for alleged stealing of 245 car tyres worth about 4.2 million naira.
Owusi is charged with conspiracy and theft before Magistrate L.J.K Layeni, he, however, pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
The Prosecution Counsel. Dr Simon Uche told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Sept. 5, 2022, in the Akinbayode area of Ojo.
The case contravenes sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015, according to the prosecution.
However the magistrate, L.J.K Layeni, granted the defendant bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until May 17 for trial.
