The momentum continues to build as stakeholders in Umuahia Urban have joined the growing number of groups pledging their support for the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and the Peoples Democratic Party flagbearer for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the forthcoming general elections as they played host to him on Sunday in an interactive meeting.
Speaking at the meeting held at the residence of Sir Jerry Ukachukwu Nwokoro, the Speaker thanked the stakeholders for their unflinching support for him over the years.
He said he was particularly delighted that people of like minds from different spheres of life could come together to offer him such support him, assuring them that the gesture will push him to do even more for the people.
He also promised to get them fully involved in the campaigns and ensure no effort of theirs goes unrewarded in his quest to represent the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the Federal House of Representatives.
Earlier in his speech, the leader and host of the meeting, Sir Jerry Ukachukwu Nwokoro highlighted the numerous works of the Speaker over the years, saying the support they have given to him is well deserved because his track record of quality leadership and achievements are very impressive.
Sir Ukachukwu said the forum, Umuahia Urban Stakeholders has resolved to work for the Speaker so he will emerge victorious at the forthcoming general elections.
Highpoint of the meeting was the interactive session between the group and the Speaker.
Members of the Speaker’s campaign council ably led by the Director-General, Pastor Emeka Inyamah, accompanied the Speaker to the meeting.
Sir Jerry Ukachukwu Nwokoro and his wife presented a gift to the Speaker.
