In the continuous preparations ahead of the general elections, over the weekend, entertained meetings that saw the endorsement of candidates.
Obinolu Youths, had on Saturday, in their general meetings, unanimously resolved that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is their project, that must be delivered in February 2023.
Ifeanyi Nmanma, one of the members of the Obinolu Youths also said that Orji Uzor Kalu, been the people’s project, should be returned to the Senate for another four years, saying that Senator Orji Kalu, is a blessing to the public. He also bequeathed that the Akara project has become cold-stone project.
In another developments over the weekend, a social-cultural and political group, “Igbo Amaka worldwide” had on Sunday, endorsed a presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 election. In a public statement, made available through their publicity secretary, Mazi Ebube Nnagi, who disclosed that their choice among other politicians running in the 2023 presidential election is drawn from individual assessment and past records.
Mazi Ebube said that the former Lagos state governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be voted for to become the next president after President Mohammadu Buhari.
He also said that the choice of Tinubu of the APC, is borne out of the believe in Tinubu’s capacity to turn around the nation’s economic flaps and also work on the precepts of the nation, to ensure peace and security of life and properties of Nigerians.
Also endorsed by the ‘Igbo-Amaka’ sociocultural and political group is the Chief Whip of the 9th Senate, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu. The Igbo-Amaka council, charged members to stand on the path of truth in making their votes count and also work with those politicians that will bring gains to the populace.
The group also enjoined the youths to play vital roles that are in line with the sustenance of democracy. Mazi Ebube, also called on all Nigerians not to see the 2023 elections as a do-or-die affairs, stating that the 2023 elections will come and go and that the main question Nigerians, especially Abia North people should keep in mind is, what becomes of the nation at the end of the 2023 election exercises?
