The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today embarked on a consultation visit to PDP stakeholders and delegates in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State.
The Speaker who is a frontliner in the 2023 general elections for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency said he was particularly delighted at the turn out of the party delegates and stakeholders describing it as encouraging and a clear indication of his general acceptance by them.
“I am here to intimate you on my next political move which is to represent the good and hardworking people of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the Federal House of Representatives. My ambition is not borne out of personal aspiration but to continue to consolidate on my numerous efforts to bring development to our people”, he said.
The Speaker assured the delegates of his preparedness and readiness to change the narrative of Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency for the better.
The Chairman of Umuahia South LGA, Hon Humphrey Benson, and the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Dennis Okorie while thanking the Speaker for his visit, assured him of their unalloyed support and wished him well in his aspiration.
The Speaker had earlier paid homage to the former State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Sir Tony Ukasanya and the Chairman of People’s Democratic Party Stakeholders in Umuahia South, Pastor Emeka Inyama, in their respective country homes.
Members of the Campaign Council of the Speaker ably led by Pastor Emeka Inyama accompanied the Speaker to the visit.
