A cleric and philanthropist Ambassador Bishop Emeka Michael Nwankpa, a former Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Abia state has queued up for 2023 Abia state gubernatorial race under the umbrella of Accord Party.
Addressing his supporters in Umuahia during his declaration, Nwankpa believes he has divine mandate to deliver Abia from comatose condition which he affirmed is its current state of affairs.

He said he posses the intellectual capacity, knowledge and wisdom to rewrite the wrongs of the state adding that his leadership would bring to an end what he described as “God fatherism”, and the act of use and dump of youths by politicians.
In his submission, the state chairman, Accord party, Engineer Uma Ogbonna expressed delight in his ambition and encouraged him to be steadfast in his pursuit.
