Wife to the late Biafran general and a former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Chief Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has advised those clamoring for the boycott of the Anambra governorship election to desist henceforth or have themselves to blame.
She asked them to begin such calls in their home states.
Mrs Ojukwu stated this while speaking at the inauguration of the Akpokuodike Fan Club, in Awka, She decried the near absence of Federal Government presence in the state in terms of infrastructure, insisting that APGA remained the voice of Ndigbo and should be supported.
Recall that the Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, on Tuesday said security reports available to him indicated that the architects of the threats were from outside the state.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has advised its members in Anambra to boycott the election.
According to Kanu, there will be no more election in Igboland (Biafran land) till the Nigerian government set a date for a referendum.
IPOB, MASSOB has been agitating for a sovereign state of Biafra, and it has been calling on the UN to weigh in in order to persuade the Nigerian government to give a date for a referendum to determine if the people will stay in Nigeria or not.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian president, Mr. Muhammadu Buhari has insisted that Nigeria must remain as one indivisible nation.
