The second batch beneficiaries of the medical student’s scholarship program sponsored by the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu through his foundation have landed safely in Venezuela.
Sponsored through his foundation, Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, the beneficiaries were on Saturday, 24th of September received by the senator in Abuja before they jet off on Monday for a six year study in medicine and surgery in South America at the Venezuela’s prestigious University, Latin-American Medicine School-Escuela.
The second batch beneficiaries are: Dike Peace Amarachi, a native of Ukwa West Local Government of Abia and Onwuchekwa Michael Chukwuemeka, from Igbere, Bende Local Government of Abia State.
Expressing their gratitude to the former governor of Abia State, Senator Kalu, the beneficiaries in a message obtained by AbaCityBlog, vowed to ‘maximize this rare opportunity giving to them through OUK foundation scholarship program and make it a success.
In a separate message, the beneficiaries also, promised to not let, “OUK foundation, our family, and our nation down.”
“A heart full of gratitude to God for blessing our lives with a great man like, His Excellency, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, I write to appreciate you so much sir for this great opportunity and kind gesture which you have shown upon us your children.
“I would want you to know sir that by this sir, that you have touched the lives of so many Nigerians and with this and lots of good deeds that you have done sir, I want to assure you sir that this has left a remark in the hearts of youths and every citizen of our great country nigerian and has convinced them that you are the man worthy of their votes and I strongly believe that the lord will perfect the success of your second term sir.
