Abia govt reacts to reports of Curfew In Aba

The residents of Aba wake to a disturbing report that the men of the Nigerian military under the exercise of “Operation Python Dance”, has placed a curfew in Aba, the commercial city of Abia State.

According to the reports, which emanated from unknown sources, the curfew would take place immediately it’s 9:pm every night.

The unconfirmed reports which have created panic in Aba, alleged that the curfew will last till Friday, 15th of February 2019, a day to the forthcoming general election.

Confirming the report through phone call, the Abia State commissioner for Information, John Okiyi Kalu, said the report was nothing but a lie.

“No curfew in Aba”, Kalu told our reporter.

Meanwhile, the military is yet to react to the report.
