Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe one of the sureties of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has asked the court to go to hometown of Nnamdi kalu and make some necessary inspections to view what the military had done.
Abaribe, whose motion asking for the court’s order compelling the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tucker Buratai, to produce Kanu, is still pending in court, filed his fresh motion on December 4, 2017.
According to the motion filed by his counsel, Chukwuma-Machukwu Ume (SAN), asked the federal high court to make any necessary inspection visit to the house of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and see for themselves how the soldiers invaded and turned the resident up-side-down. he alleged that the military also did away with the leader.
Also, according to the lawyer, he revealed that the applicant’s agents tried visiting Nnamdi kalu but to no avail due to the military preventive force at the hometown of the Ipob leader.
“The applicant is desirous of the court seeing and examining Kanu’s residence which has been stated as an evidence before the court.
“The application will help the court and indeed the applicant in the determination of his application before this court
“The applicants’ application cannot be determined nor resolved by mere documents as described on the exhibits before the court but physical inspection of the said property”, he said.
