My administration will work more on roads - Gov Ikpeazu assures Abians

The governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has assured Abia residents that his government will work more one road development in the coming years.

This, as he revealed that a sum of  two hundred million naira has been mobilized to ensure the construction of Nkpa road in Bende Local Government Area of the State.

Ikpeazu disclosed this during the PDP State-holders meeting held in Government House, Umuahia.

According to the Governor, it is his wish to ensure that Abians, who would be coming back for Christmas this year, ply on good roads in the rural areas. He informed that the roads his administration embarked upon such as Agbama and Abiriba ring roads would be completed as the dry season is setting up.

The governor assured Abians that he would work more in the years ahead more than he has done these two years.

He charged members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the State to remain steadfast in the party and contribute to make the party more strong and formidable, as campaigns and electioneering period are gradually approaching.

Governor Ikpeazu said internal democracy would be upheld, assuring that there will be no imposition of candidates in the party’s primary elections and maintained that the most popular candidates would emerge in the in future elections the party would conduct.

The Governor called on those who are contemplating leaving the party to rethink, making it clear that PDP is the only political party on ground in Abia State and enjoined the party faithful to uphold the political vision of the Peoples’ Democratic Party assuring them of better days ahead.
