GDG Aba To Host 1000 Developers, Tech Entrepreneurs and Google Experts Across Nigeria


The “Google Developer Group (GDG) Aba” will be hosting Google Developers Festival (DevFest) 2017 for Southern and Eastern Nigeria.

The conference will hold on Friday November 10, 2017 (8am – 5pm) at the El-Dorado Event Center Aba-Owerri Road Aba, Abia State.

In a press statement by Mr. Uguru Igwe, Chairman Planning Committee DevFest Aba 2017, the hosting right came as a result of the votes casted by Managers of Google Developer Groups in the region and GDG Aba came out victorious.

DevFest Southern and Eastern Nigeria is the biggest Google technology conference in Nigeria that brings together the world experts in Android, Web, Cloud and other Google Technologies.

It is crafted to be a phenomenal atmosphere for every Developer, Tech Enthusiast, Entrepreneur, Student and Google expert across Nigeria.

The large scale community-run event that offers keynote, speaker sessions across Google products, all day hack-a-thons, codelabs, hack fair, and product pitches have been uniquely tailored to the need of our local tech community.

Last year, DevFest Southern and Eastern Nigeria Season 2016 was successfully held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. “Where we had over 500 developers, entrepreneurs, students, organisations, government representatives and Google experts.

For DevFest Southern and Eastern Nigeria Season 2017, rockstar speakers and Googlers from Google Nigeria will speak and facilitate sessions on the following technologies:
