|Orji Uzor Kalu preaches peace at JCI annual summit|
Members of the Junior Chamber International, a worldwide federation of Active Youths from all parts of Nigeria converged in their large numbers in Igbere, ABIA state in the prestigious country home camp neya the of eminent businessman and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for their annual Youth Summit.
The event which came at no better time in the midst of the secession crisis in the state was aimed at preaching peace and unity in the country and the world at large.
The likewise youthful Forbes rated billionaire and former Governor of Abia state in his usual humble and active nature made himself readily available to host the Youths in his residence throughout the 3 day event.
The summit kicked off with the former Governor and a politician who just returned from the United States took time out of his usual busy schedule to welcome the members of the JCI in his residence, this was followed by a dinner in which the elated members of the organization who couldn’t contain their joy of having the presence of the former Governor in their midst joined him to the dinner.
Like the saying goes “Health is Wealth”, Dr. Kalu who is famously known for his love for sporting activities which was proved by his success with the Enyimba football club as former Governor of the state personally took the members of the JCI on morning exercise drills and a peace walk led by the former Governor himself aimed at promoting peace.
After the exercise Dr. Kalu took some time to address the youths on major issues confronting the country which included the respect for the rule of law and the need to obey court orders and issue which caused crisis in the state. He also talked about his political travails which came as a result of him standing for the truth.
Kalu expressed his joy of seeing Nigerian youths standing for peace and unity , he encouraged them to aspire for greatness and take the future now.
