Are you a tech startup in Aba, Abia State, or an entrepreneur, finding it difficult to expose yourself, get sponsors to finance your already developed idea?
Well, here is an opportunity you might be praying for, as Aba – the Enyimba City – will on November 9, 2017 play host to #StartupSouth3, the gatherings of tech entrepreneurs and sponsors.
In the real definition, #StartupSouth is the annual Technology/Entrepreneurship conference that attracts people from different cities of the world – including investors, startup founders and developers together.
In a statement, the Convener, Uche Aniche said, “The simple goal of #StartupSouth is to Connect, Expose and Attract Investment to Startups and Founders residing and operating out of South-South and South-East Nigeria. The choice of hosting in Aba is in fulfilment of the mission and to lend our voice to the current conversation around Proudly Made in Aba Campaign.”
#StartupSouth started in 2015 as an annual Startup Conference for Startup Founders, Investors and the general public in the South-South and South-East of Nigeria. It features Fireside chats with Successful Startup Founders, Policy Makers and Investors from across the world, Pitch Sessions and Networking.
This year’s edition will feature Pitch session (in addition to the usual fireside and panel chats) with the winners assured of Grants and investments from our partners and other investors that will be attending. The Speakers will be announced soon.
Notable names in the Nigerian Tech Ecosystem that has attended #StartupSouth in the past include Chinenye Mbauzoukwu (former Country Manager, Microsoft), Iyin Aboyeji (Former Andela and Currently, CEO, Flutterwave), Mark Essien (Hotels.ng), Simeon Ononubi (Simplepay & MyAds Global), Lexi Novitske (Singularity Investments), Editi Effiong (Anakle), Towry-Coker Olaotan (Afritickets and Cranium One) to mention just a few.
