The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday, stormed the sleepy community of Ugume Umueri, in Anambra State.
The activist also visited Obugad village, Umume – Umueri town all in Anambra state, the ancestral land of the Igbo people to say Prayers on behalf of the Igbos, he was received by overwhelming crowd numbering thousands of pro-Biafrans.
Abacityblog recalled that Kanu was recently accused by APGA, the ruling party in Anambra of heating up the polity through his “no referendum – no election” order in the South-East.
Contrary to Kanu’s “no referendum, no election order”, Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo has said he (Kanu) should stop arrogating himself as Igbo leader.
Chief John Nnia Nwodo, the president general of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo, speaking in Anambra on Thursday, said Kanu’s statement is shocking and disturbing.
Nwodo said; “Ohanaeze understands the marginalisation and unfair treatment of Igbo which have given rise to self-determination movements in Igboland, leaders of these movements must not arrogate to themselves the supreme leadership of Igboland.
Meanwhile, below is the photos as Kanu was received by pro-Biafrans in Anambra.
