After successful meeting with the South-East and Northern Leaders of Thought over the Arewa quit notice issued on Igbos, Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo have set out a date to meet with the 36 State governors to profer solutions in the unity of Nigeria.
Recall that leaders of some northern youth groups had issued an ultimatum to all Igbo residents in the north to leave, shortly after members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) organized a sit-at-home.
Following that development, the Acting President met with leaders of the North and the South-East region as part of efforts to douse tension.
Meanwhile, Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, said his boss would on Wednesday meet all the 36 state governors in furtherance of his consultations with stakeholders over the agitation for Biafra and the quit notice handed the Igbo resident in the north.
Akande, told Dailytrust, that meeting with 36 state leaders would be a nationalist way of addressing the situation.
The acting president last week commenced a series of consultations over the issue.
Osinbajo had met separately with leaders of thought from the North and the East on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
He is scheduled to meet separately with traditional rulers from both regions early this week, it was gathered.
