The former gubernatorial candidate under the platform of APGA in the 2015 governorship election in Abia State, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu has condemned the ultimatum issued to Igbo in the North, by Northern Coalition group, known as Arewa.

Chief Kalu, Chairman and CEO of stercoll group, stated that the ultimatum by the Arewa group is an anarchy in waiting if not properly checked.

In a Telephone interview with Abacityblog, Kalu said despite the fact that some groups in South-East known as IPOB/MASSOB have been calling for secession, it does not warrant such ultimatum to Igbo people in general.

He appealed to Ndi-Igbo to stop the call for disintegration and embrace unity, and advocate for equity and fairness in Nigeria.

According to him; “I am calling on Ndi Igbo to stop the call for disintegration of Nigeria, rather they should embrace the unity of this country, and for equity and fairness let our people be treated the way others are being treated.

“I understand that the agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is born out of perceived injustice in the system, and the least the government could do was to look into the plight of the agitating group and proffer a way to pacify them.

“I also plead with my brothers and sisters in the South East to be patient with the government and work in building the Nigeria of our dream, Kalu said.
