Abia State launches House-to-House Waste Collection & Disposal

The Abia State government has launched a house-to-house waste collection and disposal in a bid to curb the menace of improper waste management across the state.

The development was announced yesterday, and it will kick-start on Friday 21st April 2017.

A statement released yesterday, revealed that the House-2-House waste collection and disposal will for now, take place at Umuahia and Aba respectively.

The statement further stated that the Umuahia house-to-house waste collection will be within Azikwe road and it’s environs while that of Aba will be at Ogbor Hill and it’s environment.

It further noted, that the exercise is free of charge.

Abians are therefore advised to cooperate fully with the waste collectors in these specific areas with the necessary information and data, to ensure an organised waste collection exercises for a clean and virile environment in Abia State.
