Abia State: Arochukwu Residents hails Gov Udom for flagging of Nkana Bidge

Residents of Arochukwu, a local government in Abia State have applauded the Akwa Ibom State governor, Emmanuel Udom, over his extended kind gesture, to construct an Abia to Akwa Ibom road that has been abandoned over the past years.

It will be recalled that, Arochukwu was totally cut off from Abia State because of bad road network, but recently, Gov Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom state have come to rescue Arochukwu from bad road bondage – said one of the villagers.

A visit to the road proves that Udom is currently constructing a new Nkana Bridge and a road connecting Arochukwu to Aba through Akwa Ibom state.

The over-joyous villagers has nicknamed Udom’s construction of the road as  (Good neighbour is better than bad brother) referring to Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.

Construction equipment is seen on the site, workers have already begun work. A new Nkana road and bridge will soon be commissioned.
