Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo today received a chieftaincy title as he visit Abia State over talk on dialogue to oil producing Niger Delta region.

The Vice President was in Umuahia, the state capital to speak to Abians as well as leaders of oil producing communities, as part of the Federal Government’s efforts at making sure several issues bothering on development of Niger Delta States are handled and tackled accordingly.

The Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers led by the Chairman, South East Council of Traditional Rulers , His Eminence, Eze Eberechi Dick, conferred Osinbajo a  Chieftaincy Title of Enyioha (Friend of All) in recognition of his vigorous campaign for locally made goods of which Aba has been recognized as a manufacturing capital of Nigeria.

The title is also in recognition of his friendship and interest in the development of South East among other things.

The Vice President has in his entourage, Minister for Niger Delta, Pastor Usang Uguru, Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Dr Okechukwu Emelama, Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu.
It could be recalled that on the 26th of January, the Vice President was in Aba to launch the MSME Clinic in Abia State, which opened up opportunities for Abia business owners to showcase their locally made goods.
