Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said that his administration will not be able to fix every road in Aba, citing there are over 5,000 decayed link roads in the commercial city.

Ikpeazu stated this through the State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Comrade Bonnie Iwuoha, while answering questions on air in Rhema FM Aba.

Recall that to fix Aba was one of the key campaign promises Dr. Ikpeazu proclaimed during the 2015 governorship campaign.

But, Bonnie Iwuoha quoted Ikpeazu as saying that the people of Aba should exercise patient with his government, assuring that he will do everything to fix the commercial city.

According to him, “Ikpeazu has done his best in fixing the city of Aba, and he may not be able to fix the whole road.

“Aba has over 5,000 link roads, the roads have been bad for the past eight years, and it will be difficult for his government to fix all the roads, he added.

The commissioner also revealed that Ikpeazu has mapped out plans to start work on Port Harcourt road, Aba.
