Okorocha: “APC will takeover Anambra State come next year”


Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State have said that Anambra State will fall to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s governorship election.

Okorocha, however, added a that: The election must be free and fair election.

He said if that is achieved, Anambra will become the second APC state in the South-East, adding that with the entry of prominent Igbo sons into the party, including Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani and others, the party would not leave any stone unturned in the region.

Speaking with newsmen at state house in Owerri, Imo State Okorocha insisted that the SouthEast geopolitical zone “cannot afford to be outside APC in the current dispensation, especially when the Igbo are known for wise decisions.”

The governor who said his administration would pay all the arrears to the pensioners this December, noted that his administration has begun to pay workers their November and December salaries.

According to him, N16.2 billion is on ground for the payments, while the government intends to complete the payments before December 20, 2016.
