Engineer Benjamin Ogbonnaya Okah, a former Commissioner for Public Utilities in Ebonyi State, has been arrested by the EFCC over alleged abuse of office and collecting gratification to the tune of N83 million.

EFCC Spokesman Wilson Ujuwaren, said he was arrested when the agency received a petition by the State government.

Okah was petitioned over a $12 million contract to a US based company Califco Group that had been abandoned since 2012, with a mobilization of $10.8 million already paid by Ebonyi State Government into the accounts of the said company.

Investigation in the matter continues, Ujuwaren added.
